Students Prepare for State

Two Prairie View High School students have qualified for the State Championship tournament in Speech and Drama at Washburn Rural High School on May 3, 2008. Sydney Barber, a junior, is qualified in humorous solo and this is her third year of qualifying for state. She is also qualified in duet acting with Kyle Dilley, a sophomore. This is Kyle’s first year participating in forensics. State Championship Speech and Drama includes three preliminary rounds, a semi-final round and then a final round for the top six competitors in each of the events.
